Shanghai Baoshan Urban Industrial Zone (the zone), occupying an area of 5.4 square meters, is a hi-tech and export-oriented comprehensive Municipal-level industrial zone established upon the approval of Shanghai Municipal Government. A disc manufacturing base and Shanghai nano-technology industrialization base have been set up in the zone which represents the strength of Shanghai in the new century. The zone enjoys an advantageous geographical location, suitably programmed layout, preferential policies, big potentials for the appreciation of land. The standard management, warm services and perfect investment climates render the zone an ideal place for the investment from abroad and home.
The geographic location
Shanghai Baoshan Urban Industrial Zone (the zone) is a municipal-level industrial zone that was established in accordance with the general plan on the economic and social development of Shanghai. The zone lies in the southwest of Shanghai, neighboring the Outer Ring in the east, Putuo District in the South and Jiading District in the west. The zone enjoys an excellent geographical location, rendering it the municipal-level development zone most adjacent to the urban area of Shanghai, ports and airports. The zone boasts a perfect regional environment, with education and healthcare causes developed and banking, trade and real estate business prosperous. Shanghai University, cooperating closely with the zone, and Shanghai Oriental International Trade City, the largest market in the northern wing of Shanghai, lie closely to the zone. In the zone, the residential quarters such as Jinqiu California Garden, Zhongwang City and Shanghai University Sun have been completed, bringing in a perfect community environment and investment climate.
The basic infrastructure
Water
800 mm (in diameter) water pipes have been paved and the water is supplied by Shanghai Tap water Company
Electricity
Two 35 K.V transformation substations have been completed and three 35 K.V transformation substations are under construction.
Gas
700 mm (in diameter) gas pipes have been paved and the natural gas is supplied by Shanghai Natural Gas Company
Rain water
Rain water drainage pipes have been paved and the rain water is discharged into Yunzaobang Brook and Zhongchapu River
Telecommunications
A telecommunications office with 100,000 lines of program-controlled telephones have been put into use
Roads
The total length of roads is 28.5 kilometers and the density of road is 6.55 kilometers per square kilometer
