Jinqiao Export processing Zone |
|
Shanghai Jinqiao Export processing Zone is the first state-level development zone in the name of ¡°Export Processing Zone¡±approved by the State Council in 1990. It is located in the middle of Pudong New Area with planned area of 24 square kilometers. It is connected with Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone in the west, waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone in the north and close to Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park in the south. The whole zone is under the responsibility of Jinqiao (Group) Co., Ltd. (the successor of formerly Jinqiao Development Company) for its planning, resettlement and removal, infrastructure construction business and investment attraction and land management, authorized by Pudong New Area Government. Jinqiao EPZ is divided into east part, west part and south part: The east part is Industrial park and was approved as Shanghai Jinqiao Hi-tech Park by China National Science and Technology Ministry in April, 1998; Jinqiao Software Park was approved to be located in it in September, 2001; The west part is Residential Park-Jinqiao International Community: The south part is industrial area, located to the north of Chuan Sha Town, with area of 4 square kilometers. The State Council approved 3 square kilometers of the south part of Jinqiao EPZ to be developed under customs-closed management in July, 2001. With 10 years¡±development, the infrastructure of Jinqiao EPZ has become quite perfect. It includes water supply, rain water drainage, sewage disposal, electricity supply, natural gas supply, telecommunication, open roads and leveled land as well as central heat supply and satellite communication. Jinqiao EPZ was awarded the title of ¡°ISO14000 National Demonstration District¡±in August 2000 and became he third in China and the first in Shanghai which owns this title.
In September 20001, China State Council approved to set up Customs-supervised Area in Shanghai Jinqiao Export Processing Zone, with planned area of 2.8 square kilometers, where customs-supervised management is carried out. Shanghai Jinqiao Export Processing Zone Customs-supervised Area (JQEPZCSA) can enjoy all policies for export processing zone. Components industry, finished products industry processed with the components made in China and industry of processing on order will be the key industries in it. JQEPZCSA will soon become an important manufacturing base for export products around Asia-Pacific area. With convenient transportation, fast customs clearance, rich high-quality human resources and good geographical location, JQEPZCSA is only 10 kilometers away from hub airport in Asia-Pacific area, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, 38 kilometers form Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, 19 kilometers from Waigaoqiao Harbor with annual throughput of 7.4 million tons, 10 kilometers form Wuhaogou Harbor with future annual throughput of 50 million tons, 3 kilometers from Shanghai Outer ring and 12 kilometers away from Shanghai Inner ring.
The geographic location
Jinqiao EPZ is located in the middle of Shanghai Pudong New Area. It connects Lujiazui Finance & Trade Zone in the west, Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone in the north, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in the south. It is 25kms away from Hongqiao International Airport, 15kms away from Pudong International Airport and 9kms from Waigaoqiao Harbor. Jinqiao EPZ is located in the east part of Shanghai. 4km form its western is Huang Pu River and 12km from its Northeast is Changjiang River. The Zone is a smoke-free industrial community and enjoys a beautiful environment. Jinqiao Export Processing Zone has been awarded ISO14000 certification. A series of services have been offered in the zone such as commodity inspection, custom declaration, transportation, warehouse, insurance, finance, investment consulting etc., Traffic is available everywhere in the zone, more than 20 lines through all the parts of the downtown and Pudong New Area. The power is supplied by Waigaoqiao Power Plant and Yanggao Substation Power Plant. One 220KV substation (in Land Lot No. 2) has been set up and 3 of the eleven planned 35KV substations (in land Lots No. 25, No. 22 and No. 34) have been constructed. Voltage range: Types of voltage supply in the zone: 35 KV, 10 KV, 380V The planned capacity of programmed telephone lines in the Zone is 150,000 lines. Presently the capacity has reached 40,000 lines. IDD, DDD, fax service and other communication services are available. Optical fiber cable: The circle network of optical fiber cable was put into operation in 1996, which will integrate the communication network of Jinqiao with the other parts of Pudong and downtown Shanghai via digital optical fibers. EDI system: EDI has been adopted in such fields as finance, stock, customs, international trade, etc. VSAT: The ground hub station for the satellite communication network (VSAT) has been put into use in the Zone.
The basic infrastructure
Road
The main roads in Jinqiao EPZ range in width from 20m to 50m. So far, the total road length reaches 63.90km,while the total road area reaches 2,003,100m2.
Rain Water drainage
A self-reliant rain water drainage system has been established in the Zone. Total disposal capacity of 69.65m3/s. 83.85 kilometers of pipes and five rain pump stations have been built.
Electricity
The power is supplied by Waigaoqiao Power Plant and Yanggao Substation Power supply condition: One 220KV substation has been set up and 3 of the eleven planned 35KV substations have been constructed. The total power supply capacity is 160,000 KVA. In some land lots, circular-net-power supply has been established and the supply voltage is 10KV. Voltage range: Types of voltage supply in the zone: 35 K.V, 10 K.V, 380V.
Water Supply
Daily water supply capacity within the zone is 220,000 tons. Water standard: The water quality meets the national standard for tap water GB 5749-85. The water pressure is 0.147Mpa (1.5kg/cm2).
Telecommunications
The planned capacity of programmed telephone lines in the Zone is 150,000 lines. Presently the capacity has reached 60,000 lines. IDD, DDD, fax service and other telecommunications services are available. Natural Gas
From July, 1999, Jinqiao EPZ started to use natural gas from China East Sea. Daily supply: The daily supply capacity is 240,000m3 and the caloric value of the natural gas is 9000+100kcal/m3. The middle-pressure gas supply pipelines are seamless steel pipes (diameter 100~500mm), designed according to a distribution pressure of 100kpa.
Heat
A centralized heat supply system has been established in Jinqiao with a capacity of 206t/h and the planned supply capacity will be 400t/h, which can fully meet the requirements of users in the zone. Development zones/parks The basic infrastructure of the development zones (parks)
Sewage water drainage
A self-reliant sewage water drainage system has been built in the Zone with 53.36 kilometers of pipes completed. A disposal capacity of 10 tons/day. Two sewage water drainage pump stations have been established. |
